Description of inspiration: While I am not religious, the Buddha and Buddhism have never represented nor assumed an authoritarian and destructive role in my life, and therefore the mere symbolism is an endless source of personal metaphorical refuge for my own psyche. Children provide another respite from my endogenous cynicism, and I am constantly reminded that one must continually seek this refuge daily in order to not succumb to the many negativities we encounter in life. And wherever we are, in whatever state, the Buddha waits…
